Samsung will launch its next flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra. The Korean electronics giant will allow you to signal your intent to purchase the phones before they go on sale.
If this is any indication, you won’t have to spend a lot of money yet. You’re just reserving a slot for ordering the phone later. This usually happens after the company’s actual smartphone keynote (coming in February, the company just confirmed).
Preorders will also include $50 credit towards other Samsung Galaxy products. So, maybe you’ll get a case or charger.
Although we don’t know the exact specs of the new phones, there have been plenty of leaks. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to be the new Galaxy Note with stylus. TM Roh, Samsung’s mobile president, also added some fuel to the fire in a blog post today:
Many of you were surprised that Samsung didn’t release a new Galaxy Note in 2017. The Galaxy Note series allowed you to quickly switch between gaming nirvana and high-octane productivity in a flash. The S Pen, which is as lifelike as ink to paper, was a hit with you. We haven’t forgotten these experiences you love.
“At Unpacked, February 2022 we’ll present you to the most notable S series device that we’ve ever made,” he says later. This is clearly a play on the word notable and he promises that “you will help Samsung rewrite smartphones’ future.”
This video will convince you that the Note is merging.
Samsung is hinting that the new phone will feature a brighter camera for night photos. The company also announced earlier this month that the Exynos processor will be equipped with AMD RDNA 2 graphics, which could be included in the S22.
To get a better understanding, I suggest you look at the many leaks that we have covered. They cover a variety possible specs, including a wide range of cameras.
As always, I recommend waiting for the reviews.
