The PlayStation 5 is available once again at Best Buy right now (update: sold out)

Update January 20, 2013, 3:29 PM ET: Best Buy has sold all of its PlayStation 5 consoles. We hope you were able to score one. We hope you find one. For a product that has been around for over a year, the PS5 is still difficult to find. Best Buy has another opportunity to get one today.
Best Buy will accept orders for the standard PlayStation 5 console equipped with a disc drive. The disc-less Digital Edition costs $399.99, while the standard PlayStation 5 console is priced at $499.99. Best Buy orders are typically made through store pickup orders. This means that it is possible that you will need to have some luck with a nearby store that has stock. No matter what, it is important to stay persistent. To join the queue, log into your Best Buy account with billing and shipping information pre-filled. The button will change to your turn and prompt you for verification. You may then find out if a nearby store stocks the item. If you don’t find stock in your local store, it is a good idea to close the window and go back. Sometimes stock at Best Buy stores is sold in waves. Restocks can last up to an hour before being sold again.
We hope you are able to find one today. If not, we will let you know when the next restocks are from Best Buy and other major retailers. If you do manage to get one, make sure to check our deals pages regularly. We often have the best prices on peripherals and games. You can also subscribe to the Verge Deals newsletter to receive deals and promos straight to your inbox. Accessories you might need right away
