Paramount Plus Fatal Attraction reboot will see Lizzy Caplan down bad for Joshua Jackson

Although the original Fatal Attraction is a classic film that’s worth revisiting often, Paramount’s confident that the series’ revival will be a success. Joshua Jackson plays Dan Gallagher, a man whose chance encounter with Alex Forrest (Lizzy Claplan) leads to a passionate affair that quickly turns dark. As in the original, Alex’s feelings for her beau turn sour when he starts to rebuff them. Her obsessive feelings begin to grow more intense and dangerous. Deadline reports that the new Fatal Attraction will focus on exploring these themes through a modern lens, with more nuanced ideas about power balances, emotional manipulation, as well as how we view “strong women” in archetypes.
Although it is not clear what other updates this Fatal Attraction will include, Paramount Plus’ head for original scripted series, Nicole Clemens stated in a press release about the series that Jackson’s and Caplan’s chemistry will be a key component of the production.
Clemons stated that Joshua Jackson and Lizzy [Caplan] are perfectly matched and can tell a nuanced, modern narrative about the human psyche. “We are thrilled to partner with them in bringing this provocative and captivating tale to a new generation.”
At the moment, there is no information on when Fatal Attraction will begin production or when it will be available on Paramount Plus.
