Many of the best Xbox backward-compatible games are discounted

Microsoft is offering steep discounts on backward compatible digital games from the original Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 eras. This is a regular occurrence. If you agree that the ability to play older games on the Series X, Series S, or the Xbox One is one of their most attractive features, you will probably find at least one game you like during this sale. We’ve highlighted a few deals in the sale just in case you aren’t sure what you might be interested in. These games are currently not available through Game Pass.
TimeSplitters 2 received amazing cover art outside the US.Image by Free Radical DesignInto first person shooters? The TimeSplitters 2 ($2.49) & TimeSplitters Future Perfect (2.49) are two games by Free Radical Design. They have a similar feel to Goldeneye on N64 in terms of gameplay and mission goals, but they’re much more bizarre. They are charming in their absurdity, as was a lot of early 2000s stuff. If you have friends, it’s even better than what this game offered back 2002.
Red Dead Revolver ($8.99) is an arcade game that allows you to relive the Red Dead franchise. It’s essentially a sequel to Red Dead Redemption 2. Red Dead Redemption is available for the Xbox 360 for $9.89. It’s one of the most outstanding open-world games ever made (it’s even more amazing than Red Dead Redemption 2 — fight us).
Midnight Club: Los Angeles. Depending on your age, it’s possible that you don’t know that Rockstar Games used make some very good racing games. Midnight Club competed against the Need for Speed: Underground-inspired Need for Speed: Underground. It focuses solely on street racing. Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition is often regarded as the best of the series, but Midnight Club Los Angeles ($10.04), is certainly not bad.
Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis is a great sport game for $5.99. It was one of the best graphical showcases of the Xbox 360 in its early days. Bully: Scholarship Edition is a well-respected Rockstar Games title that has not seen a follow up. It’s now on sale for $5.99
Sega released a variety of interesting Xbox exclusives after the failure of its Dreamcast console. These include Panzer Dragoon Orta ($4.99), and Gunvalkyrie ($5.99).
An Xbox easter egg is hidden in Ninja Gaiden Black. This is the definitive Ninja Gaiden remake.
There are many more games I love, but I can’t stay nostalgic about them all day. Here are some other games I recommend:
Prey(2006), $3.99
The Darkness is the first-person shooter by Starbreeze Studios after its ambitious The Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay. It costs $3.99
Resident Evil Code: Veronica X HD $3.99
Burnout Revenge is the best car-smashing game in Burnout, behind Paradise. It costs $4.99
Capcom’s Asura’s Wrath is a bizarre but still impressive QTE action game. It costs $3.99
