Facebook Tests New Stories-Like Notifications Bubbles To Boost Engagement

Facebook continues to lose ground to TikTok as people spend more time on social media. However, recent stats show that users are spending more time on TikTok. As noted, recent stats show that users spend a lot more time on TikTok. Facebook needs to provide more compelling reasons to keep people connected, rather than them simply checking in every day to see the latest news from their friends or family. This is great news for Facebook, especially considering that it reported a quarter-onquarter decrease in daily actives in its last update. The announcement sank Meta stock. While the trend graph is showing an upward trend for users, Meta has not shared any data about how long they are actually spending in the app. If they are, it greatly reduces Facebook’s unmatched reach. This is because people may be checking in, then moving on to other platforms. This format may increase time spent in the app and encourage people to stay longer. Or is it just another way to boost Facebook’s numbers and make it appear like it’s generating more engagement?
